Musical Lexicon – “Daydream Believer”

5 Jun

1) You can’t use the same song more than once, for any topic.

2) Within topics, you can’t use the same artist more than once.

3) The selected word has to be in the lyrics, but not necessarily in the title. If it’s in the title but not the lyrics, it doesn’t count.

4) You can look through your own music collection for help, but NO GOOGLE.
4.1) No Yahoo!, no Bing, no Lycos, no, no GoodSearch, etc.

5) Variations or specific examples are acceptable (unless otherwise stated), but not preferred. (e.g. “Pistol” or “Guns” work if the word on the list is “Gun”)

And today’s topic is…. “What I Want to Be When I Grow Up!” I asked around what people use to want top be when they grew up and added a couple of my own previous dreams. Note the two special additions to the list which I’ve explained after the list.

Also, I feel like now is a good time to fill you guys in on some behind the scenes information on how I make these lists. First, I come up with about 10 things for the category that I think I’ll be able to find. Then I go out looking. Now if I can think of a good example that wasn’t on my list, I’ll only add it if I can think of at least two songs that contain it. For example, “Surgeon” was not on my original list and neither was “Father,” but I met the requirements so they got the add-on.

Good Luck!

Topic – What I Want to Be When I Grow Up

Professional Athlete*

Rock Star

* – For pro athlete, I’m looking for any specific example, like “baseball player” or “track star” or “pro linebacker,” etc.

** – I’m catholic, so I said priest in the list. I’ll also accept rabbi, reverend, chaplain, imam, shaman, etc. You get the idea.
