Okay, it seems that there is a new trend of hip-hop artists singing songs that have rarely any meaning. Mostly it is all about sex and how tough they are and I can live with that. Some of them are pretty entertaining and enjoyable from time to time such as some Akon and whoever else is out there. But there is one artist out there that I just do not understand the appeal of and I would probably have to say has absolutely no talen. This is the one and only Soulja Boy. His songs have no thought, no rhythm and no appeal besides the fact that they have stupid hooks such as his dance from “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” and his number dialing in “Kiss Me Thru the Phone”. First off, you do not brag about how good of a singer you are and you definitely do not have your name in a song you write, at least until you are famous enough so that people do not ask themselves “who is this idiot?” once they hear it. Second, if you dial the number he gives on his second single it’s just a recording of him promoting himself. Bottom line is that this man (wait no he isn’t even a man he is only 18) has no talent and is basically going around making music just to get his name out there which completely cancels out one’s chances of being considered an artist.
