NME.com recently revealed the list of bands set to be featured in the new Guitar Hero game. Firstly, I cannot believe they are already up to 5. Personally, I was fine with beating most of one and then succumbing to the game’s toughness. Yet, five is set to be released in the fall and I thought I would let you know some highlights from the potential line-up set to appear in the new game. Also, conveniently, the song and lyric of the day will be off of this prestigious list.
Bands include:
Blur
Kiss
Blink-182: This is pretty hilarious
Iron Maiden
Muse: Always a good choice for these games.
The White Stripes
Jimmy Eat World: Yes, they must put on “The Middle” so everyone can trip up on the words
Bob Dylan: Yeah, trip up on the words…
Gorillaz: Clint Eastwood would be pleased
The Raconteurs
Coldplay: So, they can plagerize guitar hero? Or simply plagerize the man below
Tom Petty: A musician is not a real artist until he copies Tom Petty in some way shape or form
Nirvana
Queens Of The Stone Age
Rush
Smashing Pumpkins
David Bowie: This is an interesting choice but I agree. Probably not “Space Oddity” but i can dream.
Mötley Crüe
Dire Straits: It has to be “Sultans of Swing,” and if it is I will buy the game for it
Johnny Cash: Similar to Bob Dylan. What!?!
The Derek Trucks Band: Finally some respect for this amazing blues band.
Sublime
Rammstein: YES! “Du Hast” is a kick a** song. Must be put in.
Beck
Garbage
My Morning Jacket
Kaiser Chiefs
Santana: Good. Perfect fit always.
Bon Jovi: Has been in a lot of these games but has enough similar songs to maintain a good fit.
Weezer
Billy Idol
Queen & David Bowie: It cannot be more obvious what this is. “Under Pressure”
The Killers
John Mellencamp
The Rolling Stones
Stevie Wonder: What and how? I mean great but what.
Peter Frampton
No Doubt
Iggy Pop: The king of punk.
Thin Lizzy: The boys are back in town alright.
The Police
Elton John
Deep Purple
Jeff Beck
King Crimson: One of my most favorite bands. I am interested to see how this fits.
Grand Funk Railroad
