Nocturnal Signal By Jeads Gives Listeners Memories

26 May

Upon listening to Nocturnal Signal by Jeads, one can find the musician almost instantly. With the sounds of the Spanish-style guitar and the reverb that complement it simultaneously, a new-wave sound is created. These instruments make an out of world environment for a listener listening to Jeads for the first time. The fascinating fact about Nocturnal Signal is its part 3 out of 3. The first two albums are a solo acoustic guitar album filled with jazz and classical music. The second album has more of sound and field recordings filling up the majority of the album. Nocturnal Signal mixes those two sides of inspiration into one sonic mosaic. The songs are themed around the night per Jeads and mixed with electronic samples and inspirational sounds sourced from his Bellingham, Washington home. Standout tracks from the album include Undone and Lost In The Shoreline. When thinking about his music, the idea of how it is created, and the influence of the outdoors in his work are all important things that come from listening to his music.

22 Aug

Debuting from the ambient/industrial duo arrives the post modern duo He Is Me. With their single called Let It Drip, listeners will view ambiance and industrial rock in a new light. The poignant lyrics that describe mind and thought patterns make listeners think of abstract concepts while listening. “Let the mind slip in a new state, let the walls break, let the fires rage” are just a few excerpts from the emotionally heavy track. With an ebb and flow pattern to the sound and acoustic flair to the track, Steve Moore and Casey Braunger’s musicianship clearly shows through their track. If you want to listen more to He Is Me, Moore and Braunger are currently working on an album in the works. With their refreshing approach to industrial rock, listeners will be thrilled there will be more to come in the future.
