Ghost Showcases A Power Punch In Its Debut By Fervence

Ghost by Fervence catapults yourself in the progressive rock world right when the album begins. With heavy synthesized instrumentals and reverbs throughout, this album brings a lot as a debut from Fervence. The 7 song tracklist goes into everything from the duality of life to aspects of a struggling soul. A standout track from the list includes The Silent Wall as its completely different from all of the other songs on the list. It starts out with an instrumental piano track and has lyrics “can I still be here if I’ve gone away, now we are in this place come and fly, always”? The instrumental intro sounds similar to church hymns and then it zooms off to a heavier tone with drums and guitar in the background. The vocals of this song go back and forth between being in the forefront of the song arrangement to the back, with the sound of Austin Bentley’s voice echoing in the background. Not only does this create a new depth of auditory atmosphere for listeners, but it also makes listeners curious as to what will happen next musically. If you are wanting to add some variety to your playlist during this weird state of the world, put on Ghost and get taken to the world Fervence has created.

Take a listen to Head Fake and get ready to be transported to an electro-synched world ready to open up. With radio cuts and 80s influence, EP2 knows exactly how to to merge an electro world with the modern day music sound. The band Producer Ivan clearly shows that he has traveled the world and helped musicians from all over. When reflecting on the origins of EP2, it makes sense that with the combination of being in the Indie and film soundtrack circuit, this translates to the full bodied songs that are on this album. You can close your eyes and envision a scene amongst EP2’s music and not only is it refreshing, it speaks to your soul. A standout track off their album is Song For Daughters with lyrics such as “someday you will wander off in search of your own sky”. Aside from the pop-80s chop chop instrumentals and that almost sway a listener in humming and dancing around their living room, EP2 artfully constructs their music knowing its filled with the best of intentions. It shows just by feeling the effect that their music has, leaving you fulfilled and at peace.

Path Overgrown Allows You To Be Zen & Feel All Of Your Feelings

25 Apr

Path Overgrown from Todd Warner Moore is exactly what your soul needs. Creating this album in Hong Kong, this acoustic folk singer intertwines zen, mindfulness, and heavy musings about life within his music. This is fifth album within span of 18 months, kicking it off with Birdsong in June 2018. With this album being anchored in acoustic rock, Moore has written music in the categories and music genres of Folk, 60s Psychedelia, Gypsy, and even Latin Music. With 12 songs bringing everything from a track titled Little Cobra to Gratitude, Moore clearly connects the spiritual and nature world into his musical collection as well. With lyrics such as “and to know not to know from the garden we go”, the metaphors and connections to life are all throughout this album. A shining quality of Path Overgrown, is that it brings these beautifully written narratives and reflections into a cohesive album. Todd Warner Moore’s writing is just as much of a standout component to which listeners will connect with while listening to the album. With the sounds of violin strings and the ever present strum of the guitar, this should be on repeat while driving down the road, getting back to zen, or just absorbing all the musicianship that Moore brings.

25 Apr

Hailing from Lithuania, Robertas Semeniukas pursues nothing short of passion and dedication in his music. With Backstage Stories consisting of 20 tracks, do not let that stop you from listening. Once you play the first track, you will be hooked. An interesting observation about this album is that it consists of 8 vocal tracks and 12 instrumental ones. Robertas Semeniukas carries a wordly sound in his music and this can be heavily attributed to him playing and recording with a variety of bands over the course of his music career. It is no surprise when one takes a listen to the album, they will hear the influences of Jeff Beck, Slash, Guns N’Roses, Queen, and Metallica to name a few. Semeniukas’s music clearly shows that he has an all around talent at producing, composing, and arranging his music into something extraordinary. With a dedication to his music, he has collaborated with musicians around the world and has performed amongst festivals as well. He is multi-faceted as he extends his musical talents to television projects, session musician, and producer/collaborator as well, Robertas Semeniukas is a prolific composer, producer, arranger, professional guitarist and singer. Pushing that level of passion even further, he also has extended his knowledge into educating future music makers in master classes in Lithuania and around the world. Driven by a deep love for his craft, Robertas’s music has earned him performances in festivals across the globe, from China to Texas. From the synthey guitar that reminds me of the best classic rock and 90s to slower paced tracks, Backstage Stories needs to be on stage, front and center.
