With a 60s/70s vibe, he is able to hone in on the overlooked nuances of characters within his songs. Instrumentally, it has the violin sounds effortlessly accompanying the guitar and harmonica within the song. Lyrics such as “did you have to go, will I ever know?” showcase questions that we may have asked ourselves at some point in our life looking back on shut doors. It brings up to the surface how the human mind self doubts years later and goes back as well.
