Lillimure Redefines A Collection of Work With Latest Set of Songs

Singer Lillimure will wow listeners who hear her for the first time. Her sound is not only raw and real, but it exudes truth. Conposing songs and being around music as long as she can remember, its no surprise that she would release her latest album, titling it appropriately Lillimure. Originally aiming to be a gymnast, a wrist injury changed the path of her life forever. Earlier this year, she released two other singles as part of an album collection, titled WDYTM and Something. People have been buzzing about her work she released it and we can anticipate only more creative works coming from Lillimure as she will begin attending The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU in the Fall along with the musician’s grind of playing shows amongst New York’s bars and music halls. Her vocal styles are reminiscent of Regina Spektor meets Colbie Caillat and a dash of her unique voice. Often we see musicians put into a specific genre on the type of music that they flourish in and what the audience gravitates to. With Lillimure’s expression at the forefront and evolving state, its going to be hard for anyone to put her sound in a specific genre or vibe and close the door. And this for someone that has completed a strong collection of work? Not bad at all, its just the beginning.

Sluka Releases Ready To Connect With Progressive Rock Genius

Take one listen to Sluka and you will find nothing short of energy within their vocals and songs. With the anthem repeating Ready To Connect, Sluka makes sure to sound militant and steadfast in their delivery. The progressive rock instrumentals setup this almost galaxy like world, and Sluka invites you into their auditory space. Their lyrics are somewhat political as they make a statement about society with force “ready to connect, every time we pick and choose, ready to connect”. One could infer that they are referencing society’s decisions and how much power an individual has in choosing to choose to connect, while in ironicness not connecting. When listeners hear this band, they can hear similarities to David Bowie, The Monkees, and Dhani Harrison. The band is made up of Lis Viega, Alexandra Holt, Anna Eppink, and Christopher Sluka. With the alternative rock and post punk vibes running through the single, audiences should listen to this single in anticipation of more out of this world music to come.

Story of My Life Album Blends Folk & Soul Vibes

Story of My Life carries all the traits of a perfect folk song, while incorporating vibes of soul and bluegrass. With the vocals of Kevin West carrying the lyrics into an experience for the listener, it should not come as a surprise that West has been musical since a young age. Hailing originally from California, one can hear the beach-influenced vibes that are present in his music, best characterized by the light guitar anthems, and strong vocals. A memorable track from this album for me was One Too Many. One will notice first and foremost West’s way of crafting the story into a song and this one with the lyrics “I tried to rub away the cob webs from another late night”, and “I don’t know what time it was when I got to bed, I don’t know”. These lyrics hit the feeling of an all nighter with friends, paired up with the overwhelming excitement, recounting thoughts of when you don’t even know what time you went to bed. He paints the picture very well with his songwriting, he draws listeners in and promotes a level of coexisting with his audience as he recounts on his experiences, chances are they are also the listeners as well.

The Soul Numbers Album By Seneko Brings A Mix Of 60s Motown Into 2019

Upon listening to The Soul Numbers by Seneko, you will find yourself thinking of music of 60s motown and funk. Heavy bass and drum snares alongside the vocal talents of Stan Olshefski will have listeners drawn in even more while listening to the vibe of the songs. The songs exemplify excellent storytelling at its best as well, with Callin’ Of The Cause being a standout favorite on the newest release. With lyrics like “cell phone down the sewer, new rules to learn”, he comments not only on society in a satirical manner, but also a reminder to go back to the basics and lose yourself. Seneko characterizes their music in unique ways on the album with sounds implemented in their music arrangement such as clapping, drawn out vocals, and a varied mixture of light drum beats mixed with heavy drum beats in rock music. Whether tuning up Seneko’s music for a ride along a road trip or ready to blare at a feel good party, their style and sound not only yield good feelings, but makes you think about their music after you have stopped listening.

Riptide Channels New Wave Mood From Erich Mrak In Latest Single

Marking the 4th studio release of a 7 month studio campaign, Riptide is continuing the trend of an ongoing collection of songs that convey heavy emotions, stories, and the path of a great musician. Delving straight into the song to talk about the journey that a relationship goes through when you’ve done all you can do and love is fading. Erich crafts the story beautifully and compares it to a riptide, mixed with part of the narrative head space that one goes through in this hardship. While everyone’s journey with heartbreak is different, Mrak excels with connecting the emotion and heart in his latest release. Not only is it fascinating that he is releasing these songs over a calculated period of time, it makes sense. To myself as the listener, I want to get snippets of the journey that he has created for us to listen, session by session. Erich Mrak, you are challenging what musicians face as the control of music and the release of something you create is all in your hands.
