Lillimure Redefines A Collection of Work With Latest Set of Songs

27 Aug

Singer Lillimure will wow listeners who hear her for the first time. Her sound is not only raw and real, but it exudes truth. Conposing songs and being around music as long as she can remember, its no surprise that she would release her latest album, titling it appropriately Lillimure. Originally aiming to be a gymnast, a wrist injury changed the path of her life forever. Earlier this year, she released two other singles as part of an album collection, titled WDYTM and Something. People have been buzzing about her work she released it and we can anticipate only more creative works coming from Lillimure as she will begin attending The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU in the Fall along with the musician’s grind of playing shows amongst New York’s bars and music halls. Her vocal styles are reminiscent of Regina Spektor meets Colbie Caillat and a dash of her unique voice. Often we see musicians put into a specific genre on the type of music that they flourish in and what the audience gravitates to. With Lillimure’s expression at the forefront and evolving state, its going to be hard for anyone to put her sound in a specific genre or vibe and close the door. And this for someone that has completed a strong collection of work? Not bad at all, its just the beginning.

LeeSun Brings Life, Spunk, and A New Level of Realness In Album My Life

13 Oct

Take one glance at LeeSun and she gives you eyes of fierceness and fearless attitude that makes you think words of truth are all that exist within her music. Listen to her music and you will find a deeper depth than just fierceness. LeeSun sings from the heart with her lyrics being a mix of whimsy, life’s musings, and painful experiences turned lighthearted melancholy. She brings themes of identity, adulthood, and the journey of an artist through her songs as well. When LeeSun’s voice fills my headphones, I smile reflecting on my love for The Moldy Peaches, Regina Spektor, and Marina & The Diamonds and the similarities that the album My Life has with those musicians. Authenticity and the free spirit of her music will connect with listeners and find you reflecting on your own life, struggles, and the happiness that lies in the success of succeeding.

Bitter’s Kiss Paints Heartfelt Melodies

2 Feb

Bitter’s Kiss Self Titled Album brings out the inner hearty angst that anyone has post breakup, build up of heartache, and unrequited love. Chloe Baker’s voice paints a heartfelt picture through the tracks and the soft strums of the guitar and accompanying piano carries the 90s acoustic sound the album has overall.  Baker’s vocals sound reminiscent of Allison Kraus, and have a soft ethereal quality to them.  Her newest single, “No One Will” was shot in Cork, Ireland and delivers a reflective tone and artistic reflection throughout the video. For only having released other songs since 2015, its not too surprising that Baker has made herself known within a short amount of time. Overall, the album delivers almost a growth of emotions, ranging from heartache to sometimes a melancholic stream of consciousness. With Baker’s reflective songwriting and continued growth as a songwriter, listeners should take note of Bitter’s Kiss anthems.
