Todd Warner Moore shines light through his voice on his album Overnight Flight and entrances his listeners along the way. Composing several different types of genre of music over the course of his career adds to the variety and flexibility as an artist. He has performed in bands such as Acoustic Juice and Tea-Thieves. Overall his music has an other world sound, further alluding that his exposure to international music has aided in the well rounded sound he has within his musical pieces. While the majority of his music is acoustic based, with his voice and accompanying arrangements, it does not detract from what he has created. By hyper focusing in on a characteristic sound and composition, Moore deliberately has carved himself in his own niche. Some standout tracks on Overnight Flight include Mistakes with lyrics reflecting on life and the challenges that present themselves. He sings about from almost the soul’s perspective on things alongside generalizations about the experiences as well. Another beautiful song includes Rite of Rain which opens with all instrumentals and sounds like a mesh between classic symphonies and naturescape music. It literally sounds like the music you would play while running in the forest or sitting on a boardwalk.

Soul Numbers By Seneko Delivers Americana Authenticity

25 Apr

Seneko delivers Americana rock in such a way, that anyone listening will see that the vocals of Stan Olshefski is just the beginning. Although the track list consists of five songs for this release, it packs alot of classic stories and ballads for listeners. Callin’ of the Cause showcases the acoustic guitar and the high pitches of the keyboard for a full sound. With a mixture of applause and exaggerated enunciation of lyrics, this sets it up effortlessly in regards to the instrumental sounds. The mixture of the 1960s sort of doo-wop background singing style makes a cameo as well on the album. If you want to listen to an album that has some feel good stories, the sounds of Americana, and exemplary music composition, Seneko has just the order.

River of Light Mesmerizes Listeners With Styko’s Sultry Voice & Feeling Of Rock + Roll

28 Nov

Listening to Kristina Styko will mesmerize you from the very beginning. With her sultry voice accompanying her acoustic guitar, Styko brings a feeling of rock and grill with a dash of grit. Out of all the tracks on her album River of Light, the one that is a strong standout is State Line Diner and At The Edge. From setting up the narrative to describing certain emotions in story form, Styko connects with the audience that is listening to her music effortlessly. Diagnosed with spasmodic dysphonia back in 2017, nothing stops Kristina Styko which makes her music even more inspiring. Spasmodic dysphonia causes speaking and singing to be sometimes difficult to articulate and get sounds out. It should not come as a surprise that her isolated Thoreau like retreat in Vermont contributes to her unique and raw sound in her music. If listeners think that this is a talented musician, her talent exceeds that of a vocalist and she has put herself in the category of producer in her studio Pepperbox and record label owner of Thunder Ridge Records. If a strong female musician that organically creates her music by her own will, does not inspire you, I do not know what will.
