9 Feb

Moody By The Other Life stands out as a memorable track. The Other Life revamps the single in three different combos. The original single, two pre-released remixed by Operator S and John Gary. When listening, listeners will connect the sound of Joy Division and lo- fi rock with The Other Life’s vibe. With lyrics like “take a look through the window, breaking the door” connects with the grunge feel of the post punk genre. Compositionally, listeners will also hear similiarities with electro-club music. Crystal Castles, MGMT, and the sounds of lo-fi video games all add to the auditory experience The Other Life creates for their listeners.

Now You See Me EP Unleashes Electro-Beats & Riveting Pop

9 Feb

David Browning wows with his modern tracks from his Now You See Me EP. Upon first listening, his music sounds like a mix of theatrical songs and Canadian pop that has been playing in my headphones since high school. A mixture of tracks, a favorite Call Me When You’re Single  mixes narrative storytelling and metaphors of the single life. Stay Over mixes it up with feel good EDM and electronic beats you want to run through your veins. With the genre of EDM fluctuating up and down, Browning makes it a no brainer to lump him in the category of heart-pumping pop that keeps us listening and anticipating his next creation.
