The Smallest Creature Collectively Knows Who They Are With Latest Album The Magic Beans

3 Dec

Take one listen to The Smallest Creature and get ready to transport yourself into another dimension. With heavy synthesized sounds and strong vocals, they create something quite different. The album as a whole I feel sounds like an auditory story being told. A standout track from the album, titled October Song has strong lyrics such as “break away, she said the world will rise”, that paint visual metaphors for listeners that are taken on this journey. The effective use of synth and drumming throughout in a slow, rhythmic manner add a diverse texture to their sound as well. When reflecting on some artists that I would closely categorize them next to would be Soundgarden and Radiohead. Both of these bands have enough diversity in their music as a collective observation, but they are always evolving and have those similarly strong characteristics of sound. From start to finish, there is not a weak track on the album further affirming that The Smallest Creature knows exactly who they are and the capabilities and dimensions of their sound are up for the challenge of the music world.

Beyond Beyond Carries A Variety Of Tones & Eternal Sound From Lightning Hunter

6 Dec

If one merges the concept of eternity and experimental music, they will get the creation from Lightning Hunter. With the style of progressive rock instrumentally strung throughout the album, listeners identify quickly the raw and organic undertones that Charles Scandura intertwines in his music. With a heavy emphasis on time in this album and drawn out synths, you can hear the mixing of self expression and passion all mixed in one. Compared to the bands Placebo, Silversun Pickups, and Soundgarden, Lighting Hunter has made a name for themselves within the progressive music world. Between mixing references to brain science and our connection to the universe and more philosophical musings of our existence and our human-ness, they leave the listeners thinking. As an aside from having strong music, the songs on the album hold powerful meanings to the words that make up the lyrics, shattering the bonds of time and space infinitely.

Ripple By Stimuli Brings Back The Goodness of Metal In Latest Video

9 Oct

Get that play button ready to go as this Oakland, California band will not disappoint with their latest release. Ripple by Stimuli carries all of the best qualities of heavy metal music and classic rock. From the opening instrumentals to the powerful lyrics, Stimuli does not stop their strong instrumental and lyrical presence at all through the following release. This video is a new release after the song made its debut off of their They Are We album back in 2018. An interesting fact about this song is that it was originally titled Ripple in Perception, making a reference to the concept of time and how people experience it. Making up the band includes the talents of Jimmy Tomahawk (vocals and guitar), Tai Hake (bass), and Cole Andrew (drums). Overall, the instrumental base of their song and their music carries into the comparisons of being similar to Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, and Nirvana. Its easy in the world of rock music to apply heavy bass, “textures” throughout your music, and scream lyrics. Stimuli shatters the stereotype of wannabes and brings the acclaimed qualities that those who have a soft spot for metal, both classic and modern all together to listen to the rawness that the world of music offers.

Paul Maged Faces The Political Climate With Latest Single The Resistance

10 Nov

Paul Maged displays his feelings with an unfiltered and unapologetic view in his latest single The Resistance. With lyrics specifically concentrating on Trump and how his presidency has affected the nation dominates the single, its merely a statement to what our world is going through right now. While most listeners would agree politics and music should not mix, Maged carries his harshness into this single in an unapologetic way. Originally set to come out as part of a final EP in a trilogy, Maged chose to release it sooner due to the political season and the strong feelings associated with our nation. From being nominated for a pre grammy for writing No More Love Tonight to being a finalist for the Great American Song contest for Images, he shows a socially conscious side within The Resistance.
