Christopher Sluka delivers enchanting visuals in the latest video for Vampire’s Ball with an opening piano intro that draws similarities to David Bowie in his vocals. Directed by Eric Bishop, the video begins with a view of a boardwalk and visual images around the idea of common place areas that everyone frequents to that of Sluka in front of an ethereal backdrop and then finishing into a statement on social activism, something our world needs right now. With lyrics like they cry all the time, and we may never look back demonstrates the uncertainty in the world, both in pandemic and social issues. You can definitely sense an international tone to his music and a worldly view to what is important to this group. Finding musical inspiration in Japan, Sluka previously had released albums there as he felt more connected to the musical energy. If you aren’t inspired already, Christopher Sluka is an artist through and through, creating oil paintings and having shown his art in galleries all around the world. Tying the greatness of the band with an accompanying visual masterpiece with love, pain, and hope wrapped all in one will exceed audience’s expectations as they tune in.

Beyond Beyond Carries A Variety Of Tones & Eternal Sound From Lightning Hunter

6 Dec

If one merges the concept of eternity and experimental music, they will get the creation from Lightning Hunter. With the style of progressive rock instrumentally strung throughout the album, listeners identify quickly the raw and organic undertones that Charles Scandura intertwines in his music. With a heavy emphasis on time in this album and drawn out synths, you can hear the mixing of self expression and passion all mixed in one. Compared to the bands Placebo, Silversun Pickups, and Soundgarden, Lighting Hunter has made a name for themselves within the progressive music world. Between mixing references to brain science and our connection to the universe and more philosophical musings of our existence and our human-ness, they leave the listeners thinking. As an aside from having strong music, the songs on the album hold powerful meanings to the words that make up the lyrics, shattering the bonds of time and space infinitely.

Venice May Shows Carries Meaningful Lyrics & Strong Sound In Album Illusion Is Inevitable

22 Oct

Prepare yourself for a moody and strong album entitled Illusion is Inevitable from duo Venice May. Vocalist Natalia Samofalova switches vocal styles back and forth sounding more ambient at times, and then switching to post grunge. Heavy guitar sounds that could be mistaken for synth and drum beats setup the musical arrangement as fundamental aspects of their alternative rock vibe. Emotions run heavy on the album with no weak tracks or scattered flow in sight. Hiding Place on the album singles itself out mainly due to every arrangement and vocals on the track coexisting and co-creating into its own masterpiece. Despite Venice May being Natalia Samofalova’s and Vincent Bedfert’s first ablum, all the tracks on this collection of work are strong, cohesive, and nothing short of memorable.
